Graduate Assistant for the School of Business and Technology will perform the role of an Office Manager and support the Dean and the daily operations of the School of Business and Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean in the day-to-day operations of the School of Business and Technology
  • Assist with research, data management, and reporting
  • Liaise with other departments as needed.
  • Assist with school-sponsored events (MIE, guest speakers, workshops, networking, etc.)
  • Assist faculty and students in utilizing technology tools, software, and platforms relevant to the School of Business and Technology.
  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment/supply procurement.
  • Help maintain and update social media presence for SB&T and/or collaborate with student interns.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality regarding student records, faculty discussions, and other sensitive information.
  • Follow all college policies.
  • Facilitate the creation of a GA Training Manual for the School of Business and Technology.
  • Provide advising support (as needed).
  • Be an ambassador for the School of Business and Technology and Missouri Valley University.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

As a pre-condition of employment, the applicant must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment at MVU is contingent upon satisfactory completion of background check. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. May require occasional overnight travel.
